Winter Treat

Since the New Year, I've done surprisingly well holding off my temptations for junk food and take out. But Nutella is the one thing I refuse to cut out of my diet. So today, I melted some into hot milk and made the best hot chocolate! A great pick me up on a cold afternoon. If only I had some homemade marshmallows to toss in, too!

Good Morning

Is there any better way to wake up than to a cat who's happy to see you? I may not have a lion (not that she isn't close in size) but it still makes me feel all warm and loved to have her waiting for me, whether or not I have food.

Resolution Update

Quick update on my New Years resolution progress! I'm proud to say that I'm doing a pretty good job. I went all last week without high fructose corn syrup, got a yoga DVD yesterday and did a half hour workout (forgot how hard it is in the beginning!) and fought the urge to order out all weekend. Yay! I've also been very good about eating breakfast, so that's a plus.

I haven't gotten a jump on going through my stuff, but I did make a list of all my movies and started copying recipes out of magazines I've been holding onto. I'm hoping to get through some of my clothes this week or next week.

All in all, I'd say I'm doing a pretty good job so far!

Sage

How adorable is this dress! Found it on . . . well, just guess. I love the colors and the look, but at $95, it's just a little too costly for this college student. Maybe once I'm on payroll . . .

Sweets for Breakfast

When it comes to breakfast foods, I'm kind of a huge baby. I've never been a religious b-fast eater, but I'm trying to get into the habit this year. In my search for possible morning bites, I found this recipe for Crespella and am dying to try it! It sounds like an easier version of a crepe, only a lot thicker.

New Weekend Plan

So, since my train got canceled, meaning I can't go home tomorrow afternoon, I am now considering going to the movies tomorrow. Only problem is that two movies I am dying to see are playing: Nine and The Fantastic Mr. Fox. As a total movie elitist, I loved 8 1/2, and can't wait to see Nine. But I also adore Wes Anderson, so Mr. Fox is definitely on my list. Hmmmm.

Sandwich Baggies

As someone who packs their lunch for school nearly everyday, I go through a lot of baggies. As part of my New Years De-Clutter-thon, I'm thinking about picking up some re-useable baggies, a) to save some money and b) to be a little more green. Baggies just go too fast!
